‘Delilah’ heralds a new narrowboat design for 2025
Here’s an exclusive look at our brand-new boat design, set to join our fleet in 2025!
In collaboration with interior designers, PHI Concepts, we’re continuing to modernise the look and feel of our new fleet as well as tweak the interior layout to better suit the requirements of our guests.
‘Delilah’ (pictured) is the precursor of a new boat class that will launch in 2025. This revamped version of our 48-foot-long Princess 2, with its fresh and stylish interior and improved kitchen area will be the prototype for larger 4-6 berth Black Prince boats.
What’s different?
This boat is what we call a reverse layout, meaning that the kitchen and dining area is now at the back of the boat, with the sleeping quarters at the front. This has been a popular request from previous boaters, especially couples, who like the convenience of having the ability to make a brew close to where the person at the tiller!
The new layout comes with a fresh new ‘scandi’ design in the interior, featuring a ‘nature wall’ and a redesigned kitchen area, with more storage, a microwave and modern crockery and cookware.
New bedroom design and two shower rooms
The larger 4-6 berth boats will also have two shower rooms and two WCs, perfect for couples holidaying together, as well as the usual doors between cabins for that extra bit of privacy.
Guests will also appreciate the extra foot of room on the stern deck (at the back), meaning more space for couples relax together.
We have our boat hulls custom built by the company Colecraft, who have been building boats for us since 2015, (they have built nearly 100 boats for us so far!). These boats are then fitted out by our own teams at Bromsgrove, meaning we have absolute flexibility over the design and the fit.
Delilah is now available to hire from our Stoke Prior base for 2024 and our new builds will be across more bases in 2025 – watch this space for where they will be located!
