WARWICKSHIRE BOAT HIRE

BEGIN YOUR NARROWBOAT ADVENTURE IN NAPTON

Ideally situated at the head of the Oxford Canal, Napton is a base for a large number of interesting routes.

Add a touch of Royalty to your short break narrowboat trip by cruising to Royal Leamington Spa and and then on to Warwick Castle.

For a longer holiday, follow the Warwickshire Ring, where you’ll discover the contrasts of the beautiful countryside around Warwick with city life and industry through Birmingham, Napton Junction and Spaghetti Junction. Or why not cruise one of the UK’s longest routes along the Grand Union Canals.

Trips of beauty and interest can also be achieved on Napton narrowboats, including Stratford Upon Avon, Oxford, Snarestone, or a visit to the Waterways Museum at Stoke Bruerne, depending on the number of locks you wish to negotiate on the cruising route.

Currently on board Iona and coming to the end of our two week tour of the Warwickshire ring. Nothing short of fantastic time with this narrow boat. The Black Prince staff have been very supportive and very approachable.

Excellent boat & excellent holiday. Only minus was being told to remove our bags from the boat at 0850 while waiting for a taxi so cleaner could board, this when boat did not need to be returned until 0900. No "please", no pleasant request, just told! Boat maintenance staff excellent but housekeeping staff need to learn some manners - and to tell the time!

We had a lovely 5 days from Napton Marina. Our first time on a canal boat, the boat was very comfortable and well equipped. The briefing and help from the staff was excellent and they were all very friendly. Would definitely go again!!

Although it was some time ago I always look back in fondness of the holiday we took in a Black Prince narrowboat navigating the Four Counties Ring that links the four English counties of Cheshire, Staffordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands.
